Job Description Mission Technologies, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking an experienced Cybersecurity Manager to support the Navy Enterprise Tactical Training Network (NETTN). The manager will provide cybersecurity support to Tactical Training Group Pacific (TTGP) at Naval Base Point Loma, CA; Tactical Training Group Pacific Detachment Yokosuka, Fleet Activities Yokosuka, JA; and Expeditionary Warfare Training Group Pacific (EWTGP) at Naval Amphibious Base Coronado, CA. The position requires flexibility as duties and responsibilities may be adjusted to meet business, customer, and contractual requirements. Essential Job Responsibilities Perform analysis of cybersecurity directives, policies, and instructions, including Communications Task Orders (CTOs), Fragmentary/Task/Operation Orders (FRAG/TASK/OPORDs), IA Vulnerability Management (IAVM), Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) guidance, and STIG requirements. Conduct analysis of Assured Compliance Assessment Solution (ACAS) vulnerability scans and Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to assess the cybersecurity posture of the networks and systems of the Navy Continuous Training Environment (NCTE). Provide subject‑matter expertise concerning known vulnerabilities, stay current on newly released vulnerabilities, and discuss exploitation methods, mitigation or remediation techniques, severity of impact, and other pertinent considerations. Create customized scanning and testing configurations within testing tools to meet security configuration requirements. Identify applicable NIST 800-53 security controls or policies that correspond to findings identified via manual or automated testing, specific CVEs, IT technologies, or other subjects. Track and report compliance status in the Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) and similar reporting tools. Ensure current security testing and evaluation software is sufficient for infrastructure security testing and regularly recommend additional software to fill gaps. Perform risk analysis and independent verification on security configuration and STIG‑finding risk reports / POA&M’s for devices on the network. Evaluate incident response procedures and capabilities. Minimum Qualifications Must currently hold and be able to maintain a US Secret security clearance. Proven experience managing cybersecurity teams in a government, defense, or highly regulated environment. Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills. Compliance with the DoD Cyber IT/CSWF Program requirements of DoD 8140.03 and SECNAV M-5239.2 at the Intermediate (IAT-II) level. COMPTIA Security+ CE certification. 4 years relevant experience and a bachelor’s degree in a related field, or 2 years relevant experience and a master’s degree in a related field, or high school diploma or equivalent and 8 years relevant experience. Preferred Requirements Strong knowledge of vulnerability management tools such as ACAS, VRAM, eMASS, and Evaluate-STIG (eSTIG). Familiarity with RMF, DISA STIGs, NIST cybersecurity frameworks, and related compliance standards. Hands‑on experience with ESS/HBSS, DLP, ePO, and malware protection systems. Experience supporting Software Lifecycle Management and secure data transfer protocols. Ability to work independently or as part of a team. Develop and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure effective security management. Physical and Environmental Requirements Exposure to fumes, irritants, laser light, toxic chemicals, and potential electrical shock in an industrial or shipboard environment. May involve gathering data while observing rotating or operating machinery.
