Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) -

Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapy Assistant (PTA) to join our in-house team at Tampico Healthcare Center in Walnut Creek, CA! As a PTA, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality physical therapy interventions to our residents, working closely with our Physical Therapist to ensure the highest degree of quality care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide direct physical therapy interventions as planned, delegated, and supervised by the Physical Therapist
• Record treatments given and note progress in medical records
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to increase resident independence and functioning
• Communicate changes in resident condition to interdisciplinary team members
• Provide accurate and timely billing records and supporting clinical documentation
• Coordinate and provide training with Restorative Nursing and other Care staff
• Educate and train patients, caregivers, and community partners
• Ensure compliance with community mandatory education, training, and competence programs
• Perform screening rounds to assess client needs and environmental safety
• Provide recommendations for business improvement, safety concerns, or other updates

Requirements:

• Current, unencumbered, active Physical Therapy Assistant License (required)
• We welcome new grads!
• Associate's degree in Physical Therapy Assistant program
