This is not your typical pharmacist position.

An established Orlando pharmacy is looking for an experienced Sterile Compounding Pharmacist to take ownership of a newly developed sterile compounding operation and build it into a successful, high-performing division of the business.

The infrastructure is already in place, including a Travis Clean Air modular cleanroom suite designed for USP <797> compliance. What we need now is an experienced sterile pharmacist who can take the operation through certification and permitting, launch production, and ultimately help grow the business from the ground up .

In return, this isn't a traditional hourly or salaried role.

You'll participate directly in the success you create through an uncapped profit-share model based on sterile prescription revenue after agreed COGS .

The Opportunity

You'll take the lead on the sterile operation from final cleanroom certification through to dispensing the first prescriptions and scaling the business.

You'll:

• Serve as the USP <797> Designated Person / Responsible Person
• Be named on the Florida Special Sterile Compounding Permit (SSCP)
• Lead the cleanroom through initial certification and Board inspection
• Develop and implement USP <797>-compliant SOPs, policies and quality systems
• Manage environmental monitoring, cleaning, documentation and compliance
• Compound and release Category 2 sterile preparations
• Focus initially on sterile-to-sterile, patient-specific 503A compounding
• Recruit, train and supervise sterile compounding personnel as the operation grows
• Manage technician competency, media fills and ongoing training
• Oversee sterile inventory, workflow and day-to-day operations
• Specify additional hoods, equipment and infrastructure as required
• Work alongside ownership to develop the formulary, generate business and grow sterile prescription volume

This is strictly a 503A patient-specific operation – not 503B office stock.

The Facility

You'll be stepping into a purpose-built sterile environment rather than starting with an empty room.

The pharmacy provides:

• Travis Clean Air three-room modular cleanroom suite
• ISO 7 positive-pressure buffer room
• ISO 8 ante room
• ISO 8 preparation room
• Three AJ Manufacturing HEPA FFUs
• Magnehelic pressure monitoring
• Interlocking pass-through
• HEPA testing ports
• Existing 4-foot PEC
• Retail and compounding pharmacy infrastructure
• Funding for agreed additional sterile equipment and support equipment

The pharmacy will purchase the equipment required to support the agreed growth strategy, while you'll have significant input into specification, commissioning and operational design .

Who We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with pharmacists who have the technical experience and entrepreneurial mindset to own a sterile operation rather than simply work within one .

You should bring:

• Active Florida Pharmacist License – required
• Minimum 2 years' sterile compounding experience
• Strong working knowledge of USP <797>
• Category 2 sterile compounding competency preferred
• Previous experience as a Designated Person, PIC, PDM or Sterile Compounding Supervisor strongly preferred
• Experience operating within hospital, home infusion, LTC, specialty or other sterile pharmacy environments
• Strong understanding of aseptic technique, environmental monitoring and quality systems
• Experience supervising and developing pharmacy technicians
• Ability to prepare for and successfully navigate regulatory inspections
• Clean Florida Board / inspection history
• Professional liability / compounding coverage
• Ability to pass required background and drug screening

Most importantly, you need to be comfortable taking genuine ownership.

We're looking for someone who can look at a sterile operation and think beyond simply "How do we compound safely?" to "How do we build this into a successful business?"

Compensation – Important

This is not an hourly-rate position.

The advertised $100–$150/hour figure is provided only as an illustration of the potential earning level as the sterile business develops.

Instead, compensation is structured around a percentage of sterile prescription revenue after clearly defined COGS , including APIs, sterile components and immediate compounding supplies.

There is no predetermined earnings cap.

The facility, cleanroom infrastructure and equipment are owned and funded by the pharmacy. Your role is to bring the sterile expertise, operational leadership and commercial drive required to turn that infrastructure into a thriving sterile compounding operation.
