This is a Direct Hire position with the school Location: South Dennis, MA Full-Time Monday - Friday & year-round employment School Admin – Assistant Director: Early Childhood Education Opportunity A well-established early childhood school is seeking a collaborative and experienced early childhood educator to join its administrative team. This Assistant Director role is ideal for a candidate who is passionate about supporting teachers, maintaining high-quality classroom environments, and building strong relationships within a thriving school community. This is an opportunity to join a high-performing leadership team at a year-round preschool program serving Infants through Pre‑K, with a strong reputation for educational excellence and family engagement. Compensation & Benefits $60,000 - $65,000 annually, based on experience and credentials Health, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) Retirement Plan PTO and Paid Holidays 100% Child Care Tuition Discount for Leadership Staff Tuition Reimbursement Professional Development Opportunities and Ongoing Support Position Overview The Assistant Director will support the Director and administrative team across all classrooms, with a primary focus on: Supporting curriculum implementation and educational quality Assisting with teacher coaching and professional development Providing classroom support and operational oversight Building strong relationships with teachers and families Assisting with enrollment, family engagement, and daily operations Supporting licensing compliance and school-wide initiatives as needed This role is highly collaborative and best suited for someone who enjoys being actively engaged with staff, children, and families throughout the school day—not someone seeking a primarily desk‑based administrative position. The ideal candidate values educators, leads with positivity and professionalism, demonstrates strong organization, and embraces a team‑first mindset. Qualifications CDA, Associate's Degree, Bachelor's Degree, or higher in Early Childhood Education or a related field Minimum of 5 years of experience in a licensed early childhood education setting Experience working with children across all age groups, including infants, toddlers, preschool, and pre‑kindergarten Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills Passion for early childhood education and child development Preferred Experience teaching in all classroom age groups Previous experience serving as a mentor, lead teacher, or informal leader within a school setting Familiarity with enrollment support, family engagement, and center operations Experience with childcare management software and administrative systems Interest in growing into a long‑term leadership role within early childhood education Skills & Attributes Strong written and verbal communication skills Excellent organizational and time management abilities Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel Collaborative and team‑oriented work style High initiative and strong work ethic Ability to problem‑solve and adapt in a fast‑paced environment Passion for supporting educators and fostering a positive school culture Additional Information Candidates should ideally reside within a reasonable commuting distance of the school Relocation assistance may be considered for qualified candidates Schedule flexibility to participate in alternating opening and closing administrative coverage is required Note: This job description is not intended to be all‑inclusive.
