JOB DESCRIPTION: POSITION PURPOSE To efficiently and properly inventory and maintain vault room, and supply paint, glue and other solvents according to established formulas and procedures. Grade: Production 3 POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES Empty hazardous waste from different areas. Check to see that equipment is in satisfactory operating condition. Complete preventative maintenance and make adjustments, clean strainers, changes filters, changes pumps, minor repairs. Answer Day Tanks telephone calls requests for paint, glue and solvents. Maintain daily log book (Batch numbers, deliveries, etc.). Monitor unloading paint truck (Bulk and barrels). Perform several tests and check such as air pressure, Pilta Lprep filters, in-line titration test, pumps, and temperature. Maintain inventory of all paint and other solutions. Order paint from distributors. May back-up Paint Line Operator Handle, transport and package hazardous material per written procedures (including wastes). Respond to spill emergencies involving hazardous materials. Assist in keeping painting equipment cleaned and in good repair. Carry out similar and related duties of the job. Clean out pilt line filters, filters in paint line. Perform changeovers to defined standards to meet product specifications. Work with in Standard work, JBA’s, control plans, work instructions and quality specifications. Work with support staff on keeping standard work documents current and relevant to defined output. Perform changeovers to defined standards to meet product specifications. Understand the safety needs of the process and work within the parameters defined to protect the equipment, facility and coworkers. Use measuring tools for managing product quality with in defined parameters of the standard work and quality documentation. Identify problems and implement fixes for common issues with the use of AMS tools and standards for continuous improvement concepts, and work with the support staff, management and maintenance on corrective action to resolve. Rotate as required through multiple jobs. May or may not operate a powered industrial truck (PIT) based on operations/department need. Knowledge of product, process, and customer’s expectations within the value streams (upstream and downstream of the process). Support and participate in Employee Engagement activities. Support respectful workplace. Other duties as assigned by Supervisor. MINIMUM QUALIFICATION, SKILL AND/OR COMPETENCY REQUIREMENTS High school diploma, or GED. Five years’ experience in Paint Operations. Basic computer skills. Ability to read and understand reports and a requirement to cross train on several operations. Strong communication, teamwork, problem solving and leadership skills. Dependability/punctuality. PHYSICAL DEMANDS FOR ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: Tier III Ability to safely lift and carry up to 55 pounds Ability to safely push and/or pull up to 79 pounds of force Climb stairs/steps at will Obtain a variety of positions such as stooping, reaching, twisting, etc. Ability to grasp and pinch frequently throughout the day Work around and near moving equipment and machinery PAY RANGE: $26.50 - $33.18 CULTURE AND BENEFITS: At Andersen, we believe our people are at the heart of everything we do.
