Delivery Driver - Elgin TX (8095)

Position Overview This position reports to the A-Line Store Manager. The A-Line Store Delivery Driver is responsible for delivering product to customers from the store and picking up returns, using a company‑provided vehicle. The driver must verify that all parts delivered match the invoice(s). The role may also include in‑store duties, representing the company positively, and maintaining good customer relations. Primary Job Functions Verify product, load and unload at the customer location, and use equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, or hand trucks safely. Transport invoiced products to the appropriate customer using dispatch and delivery tracking software. Represent the company positively, demonstrating good customer‑relation skills. Perform daily inspections, checking gasoline, oil, water, and tire conditions, and record and report any malfunctions on the Inspection Sheet. Handle money from customers and make change when necessary. Maintain a satisfactory attendance record. Keep the work environment safe and clean by organizing shelves, pallet areas, work stations, and shipping supply areas, complying with OSHA and company safety procedures. Perform any other tasks assigned by Management. Qualifications Must be able to safely operate a vehicle and meet all company requirements for Approved Driver status. Courteous treatment of and assistance to customers. High degree of attention required to prevent injury and damage when operating a company vehicle. Must follow oral and written instructions. Must have basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division). Work involves continual walking, lifting, carrying, grasping, reaching, stooping, and crouching. Work may involve climbing and descending stairs. Ability to lift a minimum of 60 lbs. continuously. Ability to read and write in English. Must successfully complete a background check and criminal history check. Must pass a physical, human performance evaluation, and drug test. Attitude that supports the Company’s goals and values. Must maintain regular and prompt attendance. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED preferred.
