Transportation Specialist Location: Rochester, NY | Department: Restart Residential | Employment Type: Full‑Time | Schedule: Monday–Friday 8:00 am–4:00 pm (40 hours) | Salary: $19.25/hr. General Description Under general supervision, the Transportation Specialist works in close coordination with associated program case managers, other program staff and program partners to support non‑medical services to Program clients. Effectively supports ongoing and collaborative communication amongst all program staff and is responsible for ensuring a trauma‑informed care environment. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Transport clients to necessary appointments. Provide client assistance with grocery shopping, prescription pick‑up, banking, friendly visiting, light chores, and essential errands. Keep clients appraised of available community resources. Provide information to clients and their service providers. Maintain accurate activity records, including but not limited to: Accurate mileage and time sheet records Reports of problems and incidents to supervisor in a timely manner Up‑to‑date client service schedule and accurate records of trips and contacts Facilitate vehicle upkeep and repair, including inspections and oil changes Adhere to agency financial policies and procedures (e.g., use of credit card). Complete semi‑annual reports on client progress and status. Participate in program fundraising activities. Communicate with office regarding messages once per day. Assist program management staff in completing required clerical and/or administrative work as needed. Participate in relevant Agency meetings and/or trainings. Actively pursue development of professional competencies related to job performance through reading, supervision, in‑service training and attendance at conferences and workshops. Support the Agency’s Mission, Vision, Values and Strategic Plan, including, but not limited to, the Agency’s core competency initiatives of being collaborative and community focused, innovative and entrepreneurial, and culturally competent and diverse. Combination of education and experience will be considered. Credentials: Valid and clean NYS driver’s license and valid registration and insurance documents. Experience: One‑year professional driving experience preferred.
