Travel Nuclear Med Technologist - York, ME

An opportunity is available for a Nuclear Medicine Technician with expertise in nuclear imaging to support both cardiac and general nuclear medicine services. This position involves working split hours between an outpatient cardiology office and a main hospital campus, providing vital imaging studies that contribute to patient diagnoses and care plans.

Schedule / Hours

• Monday through Friday
• 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM

Responsibilities

• Perform a range of general nuclear medicine procedures as well as specialized cardiac nuclear stress tests
• Carry out IV insertions with precision and care
• Handle and store radioactive materials safely in compliance with regulatory standards
• Maintain accreditation with the American College of Radiography Nuclear Medicine standards
• Keep an up-to-date State of Maine Radioactive Materials license
• Document all procedures and patient information meticulously
• Collaborate closely with Cardiologists and Radiologists to ensure high-quality imaging results
• Deliver exceptional patient care with clear communication and professionalism

Qualifications / Desired Experience

• Minimum of 1 year of experience in nuclear medicine preferred
• Certification by the CNMT (Certified Nuclear Medicine Technologist) required
• Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
