Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, dependable, and dedicated Caregiver to join our team at The Cottages at Lake Balboa. The Caregiver provides direct personal care and assistance to residents while promoting dignity, independence, safety, and quality of life. This role requires a caring individual who enjoys working with SENIORS and is committed to providing exceptional resident-centered care.

Duties

• Assist with daily routines such as feeding, bathing, dressing, and mobility for children and individuals with disabilities
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, healthcare providers, and fellow staff members.
• Observe and report any changes in resident condition to supervisors.
• Assist with housekeeping and laundry duties as needed.
• Follow infection control, safety, and emergency procedures.
• Maintain resident confidentiality and uphold residents' rights at all times.
• Monitor and document residents' physical, emotional, and behavioral conditions.
• Assist residents with meals, hydration, and special dietary needs.
• Support residents in participating in recreational, social, and therapeutic activities.

Qualifications

• Valid Social Security Number
• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Previous caregiving, assisted living, RCFE, home care, or healthcare experience preferred.
• Current First Aid and CPR certification or willingness to obtain.
• Ability to pass required background checks and health screenings.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Compassionate, patient, and reliable with a genuine desire to serve seniors.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, lift, and assist residents throughout the shift.
• Ability to lift and transfer residents in accordance with facility policies.
• Ability to perform duties in a fast-paced caregiving environment.

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time positions available.
• Day, evening, overnight, weekend, and holiday shifts may be required.
