Software Engineer DevOps We are seeking a Software Engineer DevOps to join our innovative team. You will develop and implement features for robotic systems, write clean, well‑tested software in C++, and test new algorithms on hardware. You will also develop and integrate mobile robot self‑navigation technology, including low‑level control systems, path planning algorithms, and higher‑level behaviors. Required experience managing large‑scale fleets of electro‑mechanical devices; candidates without direct hands‑on ownership in this environment will not be considered. Responsibilities Develop and implement features for robotic systems. Write clean, well‑tested software with documentation in C++. Test new algorithms and code on hardware. Develop and integrate mobile robot self‑navigation technology, including low‑level control systems, path planning algorithms, and higher‑level behaviors. Help automate the robot bring‑up process, from calibration to system testing. Address bugs and find solutions that meet customer needs. Conduct release testing for software and firmware releases. Develop robot firmware, device drivers, hardware, and algorithms. Collaborate closely with the team, supporting other areas of development. Contribute to project planning, timeline, and resource allocation. Essential Skills Proficient in C++ and Python. Experience with the complete software lifecycle from development to production. Proficient in debugging, code reviews, and unit testing. Ability to automate software running on a CI system. Passionate about autonomous systems and robotics. Additional Skills & Qualifications BS or MS in Computer Science. Based in San Francisco or within a commutable distance. Experience with a robotics software stack, including robotic arms and rigid transforms, is preferred. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of San Francisco, CA. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70.00 - $105.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
