Job Description: Security Officer Position Title: Security Officer Location: Pataskala, OH (20-25 minutes outside Downtown Columbus) The Security Officer is responsible for maintaining a secure environment for employees, visitors, and property by monitoring and patrolling the premises. The Security Officer prevents unauthorized access, detects suspicious activities, and ensures compliance with company policies and safety regulations. This position requires a strong commitment to safety, security, and customer service. Responsibilities Monitor and patrol premises to prevent unauthorized access. Detect and report suspicious activities. Respond to emergencies and enforce safety protocols. Operate security systems, cameras, and maintain accurate logs. Provide customer service to employees and visitors. Qualifications Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Experience: Prior security, law enforcement, or military experience preferred but not required. Certifications: Security Officer License (where applicable); CPR/First Aid Certification (preferred). Skills: Strong observational and problem‑solving skills; remain calm under pressure; excellent verbal and written communication skills; proficiency with security systems, cameras, and basic office technology. Physical Requirements: Ability to stand, walk, or patrol for long periods. Driving Eligibility: If a company vehicle is required, applicants must be over 25 with a screened motor vehicle record. Accidents and violations are reviewed on a case‑by‑case basis. Basic Requirements High School diploma or GED. Minimum age 18 years. Ability to pass criminal background check and drug test.
