Job Summary:
Operating Room (OR) Nurse in Bronx, New York, with thorough trauma experience at level 1 or level 2 trauma centers. Candidates are expected to bring their registered nurse (RN) license on the first day. This position involves working in a busy surgical environment with a focus on orthopedic, neuro, and ophthalmic procedures. The role requires flexibility to work weekends and holidays as needed.

Job Details:

• Location: Bronx, NY
• Specialty: Operating Room (OR)
• Shift Hours: 9 hours per shift, with four shifts per week, totaling 36 hours. Shift time is scheduled for days, with workdays including weekends and holidays as needed.
• Schedule: 10-hour day shifts, including a one-hour lunch break each day.
• Required Qualifications: RN license, 2 years of relevant OR experience, trauma experience at level 1 or 2 trauma centers, scrub and circulate skills, strong orthopedic, neuro, and ophthalmic procedural knowledge, experience with Epic electronic medical record (EMR) system.
• Preferred Qualifications: Trauma level 1 or 2 experience, teaching hospital experience, EMR experience with Meditech, Epic, and Eclipsys systems.

• Additional Information: Candidates should be prepared to include weekends and holidays as part of their schedule. No OT, additional shifts will be paid at the regular rate.
