Registered Behavior Technician-Bus/Home Support-Oyster Bay

Details about this opportunity: 

• Location: Oyster Bay (bus/home)
• Hours: 2:15pm-5:30pm
• Schedule: Monday-Friday
• Compensation : $27-$28/hourly

  Responsibilities: 

• Respond to the goals, needs and requests of students and supervisors, on an individualized basis, and in a professional manner on the bus and in the student's home
• Work collaboratively with a behavior consultant and/or clinical supervisor to provide academic, behavioral, and social/emotional support to student with special needs
• Implementation of behavior support plans or skill acquisition programs (data collection, progress reporting, CPI training and implementation) 
• Help with daily living tasks, such as mobility, hygiene, and transitions.
• Maintain the confidentiality of information regarding students in accordance with State and Federal regulations
• Maintain a safe and inclusive learning environment.
• Understand and demonstrate the company core values. 

 

About You:

• Active RBT or interested in interested in obtaining RBT credential 

 

And this background: 

• Minimum of 6 months working with children or adolescents with special needs in a supervised setting
• Minimum of High School Diploma required
• Must have reliable transportation 
• Successful completion of or current enrollment in an undergraduate program in psychology, healthcare, human services, education or related field preferred
• Experience with students with autism and/or maladaptive behaviors preferred
• Critical thinker with a problem-solving mind
• Bilingual is a plus
