Maintenance Worker - Per Diem

SUMMARY
As a member of the Morongo Basin Healthcare District (MBHD) team your mission is to improve the health and wellness of the communities we serve. You will be required to interact with patients, the public, co-workers and management in fulfilling your mission.
In your role as a Maintenance Worker, you will report to the Chief Operations Officer. Your responsibilities will include performing a variety of duties in the repair, servicing and general maintenance of the clinics and equipment.

DUTIES
• Perform plumbing, electrical, building repair, and general maintenance
• Make minor repairs on toilets, water fixtures, plumbing, and clogged drains
• Perform building maintenance requiring basic carpentry, painting, plastering and other related duties
• Works with outside contractors for repairs and maintenance that do not fall under "routine"
• Perform safety rounds monthly, maintain fire extinguishers, change filters, and assist with fire evacuation drills
• Perform product assembly
• Document all repairs, maintenance, safety/security rounds, incidents, or other items of note
• Perform other related duties as assigned or requested

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

You may be required to occasionally lift and/or move up to 50+ pounds. You will be required to travel within the service area. You will regularly sit for long periods of time; spend extended time at a keyboard or telephone; and interface with others effectively. You will be occasionally required to stand; walk; and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Current California Driver's License with good driving record
• Minimum of 5 years' experience with hand and power tools, and general maintenance
