Job Description – Lot Porter/Detailer - SalesThe Lot Porter / Detailer supports the Sales Department by maintaining dealership vehicle inventory, organizing vehicle displays, and assisting with washing, cleaning, fueling, and detailing vehicles to ensure dealership appearance standards are maintained and vehicles are properly prepared for display or customer delivery. This position may also assist with transporting vehicles throughout the dealership and to outside locations as needed.Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesMaintain the appearance and organization of the new and used vehicle lotsPark and arrange vehicles according to dealership standards and management directionAssist with moving vehicles between departments to support dealership operationsWash, vacuum, clean, fuel, and detail vehicles to maintain dealership appearance standards and prepare vehicles for inventory display or customer deliveryInspect vehicles for cleanliness, damage, or maintenance concerns and report issues to managementInstall and maintain vehicle key tags, stock tags, and window stickersTransport vehicles to other dealerships, vendors, auctions, or designated locations as requestedAssist with customer vehicle pickup or delivery using dealership vehicles when neededMaintain cleanliness and professionalism of dealership grounds, detail areas, and vehicle display areasFollow all dealership safety policies and traffic regulations while operating vehiclesPerform additional duties as assigned by managementThis position may require working evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.Job QualificationsRequired QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferredValid driver’s license with acceptable driving record requiredAbility to safely operate automatic and manual transmission vehicles preferredProfessional appearance and positive attitudeStrong communication and teamwork skillsAbility to follow verbal and written instructionsDependable attendance and punctuality requiredAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing prioritiesMust be able to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to frequently stand, walk, bend, stoop, reach, and lift up to 50 poundsAdditional Qualifications / Preferred ExperiencePrevious dealership experience is a plusPrevious lot porter or vehicle detailing experience is preferredExperience using vehicle cleaning products and detailing equipment is a plusFamiliarity with dealership operations and vehicle inventory management is beneficialThe physical demands described above are representative of those that must be met to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
