Job Description
Title: Speech-Language Pathologist - Speech-Language Pathology Requirements:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Current state license to practice as a Speech-Language Pathologist.
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA), or CFY status with supervision.
- Strong clinical skills in evaluation and treatment of dysphagia, cognitive-linguistic deficits, and communication disorders.
- Excellent communication, documentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary team. Roles & Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of residents with communication, cognitive-linguistic, and swallowing disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on assessment findings and physician orders.
- Provide direct therapy services targeting communication skills, cognitive-linguistic functioning, and safe swallowing.
- Document all evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries in accordance with state, federal, and facility guidelines.
- Educate residents, families, and staff on therapy plans, communication strategies, and safe swallowing techniques.
- Participate in care planning and interdisciplinary team meetings, contributing to resident-centered goals.
