Registered Nurse CVSU

Role Registered Nurse in a Cardiovascular Surgical ICU (CVSU) specializing in caring for critically ill adult patients with severe cardiac, vascular, and thoracic disorders. Responsibilities Provide personalized, high-quality care by collaborating with healthcare teams, assessing and implementing patient treatment plans, and managing complex conditions such as cardiogenic shock, aortic dissection, mechanical circulatory support, and post-surgery recovery. Serve as a leader in patient care, ensuring safety and optimal outcomes, while acting as the primary nurse for each patient. Maintain compliance with policies and procedures, and utilize evidence-based practices with compassion. Qualifications & Skills Graduate of an accredited nursing school; bachelor's degree preferred. Minimum of one year of acute nursing experience. Current RN licensure in the appropriate state. Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required. Critical care experience is a plus. Key Duties Deliver comprehensive critical care in a 29-bed unit with a patient nurse ratio of 1-2:1, managing complex cardiovascular cases, including post-open heart surgeries and thoracotomies.
