About the Position

CRNA

Location: New York
Schedule: 5 days per week preferred. 12 hour shifts may be considered with 5 x 8 hour shifts preferred, and 4 x 10 hour shifts considered, as outlined in the order details. Shifts start at 7:00 AM.

Position Overview
Provide CRNA coverage in a supervision model across main OR and affiliated surgery center settings as outlined in the order details. This role includes a broad surgical case mix and requires regional skills including blocks, spinals, and epidurals.

Clinical Scope

• Supervision model, typical ratio 1 to 3 when supervising as outlined in the order details
• Cases include general surgery, gynecology, bariatric, spine, obstetrics, orthopedics with blocks, and additional neuro, head, and pediatric cases as outlined in the order details
• Practice locations may include main OR and outpatient surgery centers, plus procedural areas as outlined in the order details
• Charting: paper anesthesia record with electronic pre and post op orders as outlined in the order details
• No overtime as outlined in the order details
• Call: in house OB call preferred as outlined in the order details

Required Qualifications

• Current license as a registered professional nurse
• Graduation from a COA accredited program of nurse anesthesia education
• Certified or recertified by the AANA Council on Certification or Recertification of Nurse Anesthetists
• Active New York license required to present
• Ability to perform blocks, spinals, and epidurals

Additional Requirements

• Provider must reside more than 60 miles from the worksite

Credentialing

• Emergency privileging timeframe is typically around 30 days
