Education Specialist

A Child's Place in McHenry is a licensed childcare center seeking an Education Specialist! Requirements: Must be IL Director Qualified and willing to drive our School Age Van (must be at least 23 years old). Program development and Teacher interaction development AssistCDwith implementation ofchildportfolios andchildassessments Review classroom interactions, behaviors, routines to identifydevelopment needsand provide support per CD. Review implementation ofCreative Curriculum. Identifytraining/resourceneedsin areas of program, sanitation, regulatory compliancewith CD and provide hands on supportwhere needed or requested. Assist CD with special projects and classroom environments Playground initiatives. Indoor gross motoractivity plansand resources. Classroomenvironment maintenance in correlation to NCRLAP. Assist in establishingand maintainingquality ofeducation standardsper company guidelinesincluding labeling, communication boards, classroom arrangement, resources specific to children’s needs,programand classroom enrichments. Lesson Planning and Program development Incorporate developmental objectives into LP's and oversee modification requests of staff. ReviewLPcrates, provide appropriate feedback to teachers. Arrange for weekly LP supplies, maintain common area supply closet. Integrate activities and developmental goals into Tadpole system and Daily Reports. Classroom Observations and Maintenance Conduct classroom observations as needed or requested by CD usingcurrent monthly observation forms. Providefeedbackto CD and direct teachersupportto teachers as needed, acting as a liaison between staff andmanagement teamas necessary. ACP is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
