Registered Nurse (RN) - SSSU/PACU

We are seeking an experienced Registered Nurse to join our team in the SSSU/PACU department. This position offers a dynamic work environment with a schedule of four 10-hour shifts. Candidates must be willing to participate in a shared on-call rotation.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care in Pre-Operative, Post-Operative, and PACU settings.
• Administer conscious sedation for special procedures, while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Conduct nursing assessments and provide patient education related to peri-operative care.
• Monitor and recognize complications related to post-anesthesia and post-operative care.
• Float to various outpatient services, including Day Surgery, Endoscopy Lab, and Pre-operative Clinic as needed.

Qualifications

• Minimum of two years of experience in SSSU/PACU, Pre-operative, or Post-operative nursing.
• Charge nurse experience is preferred.
• Current certifications in ACLS, BLS/BCLS, and PALS are required.

This position requires a commitment to a variable schedule of four 10-hour shifts, along with shared on-call responsibilities for PACU and other outpatient services.
