Entry-Level Data Center Technician

We are hiring motivated, entry-level individuals to begin their hands-on technical career as Data Center Technicians through a structured training and placement pathway built for recent high school graduates. No college degree or prior data center experience is required — selected candidates will receive paid, hands-on training and on-the-job learning in a live data center environment, getting you into the field and earning quickly. As a member of the Data Center Operations team, you will support the day-to-day operation and maintenance of critical server and network hardware, follow detailed safety and operating procedures, and help maintain world-class facility reliability. This opportunity is ideal for individuals with curiosity for technology, a strong work ethic, and interest in computer hardware, structured cabling, or IT infrastructure. Basic Qualifications High school diploma or GED. Highly proficient in written and spoken English. Lifting and moving up to 39 pounds independently on a normal basis. 40+ pounds for group lifts. Working and performing tasks from ladders. Proficient with Microsoft Office products (e.g., Excel, Word) and web-based operational tools. Nice-to-Have Qualifications Technical training or certification (e.g., CompTIA A+, Server+, Network+) or equivalent recognized coursework. Job-related experience in a fast-paced environment (restaurant, hospital/ER, classroom/schools, military, warehouse/logistics, etc.). Hands-on experience with computer hardware, tools, electronics, or mechanical work. Familiarity with structured cabling (copper and fiber) or hardware troubleshooting. Responsibilities Uphold and promote the highest safety standards, fostering a world-class safety culture. Collaborate with other teams to address safety risks/issues and take ownership of safety initiatives and projects. Demonstrate operational expertise in server and network hardware, including diagnosing and replacing failed components such as hard drives, memory (DIMMs), power supplies, network interface cards, and motherboards. Rack, stack, and decommission server and networking equipment in accordance with standard operating procedures. Pull, dress, label, and patch structured copper and fiber cabling, keeping cable runs clean, organized, and documented. Troubleshoot hardware events within internal SLAs and work varying shifts (morning, late, and night). Conduct routine rounds, asset audits, and log-taking to maintain accurate hardware inventory and floor readiness. Manage and resolve work tickets, log actions clearly, and escalcrate issues that fall outside scope. Lift/move objects/materials within regulatory weight limits and work in varying data center conditions (hot/cold aisles, noise, confined spaces). Regularly walk, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, reach with hands and arms, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl, climb stairs, twist, bend, work above shoulders, grasp, carry, push and pull objects into position. Shifts are 12.5 hours long (5:30 AM/PM – 6:30 AM/PM) Days are 3 on 4 off, 4 on 3 off. For example, you could work Sunday – Tuesday, be off Wednesday – Saturday, and then work Sunday – Wednesday, be off Thursday – Saturday. Both day and night shifts are available. What is the Pathway?
