Systems Engineer - SD-WAN & SD-Branch

Salary: $122,000 - 162,000 per year Requirements:

• We need a BS/CS/CE technical degree or equivalent relevant experience.
• We expect 7+ years of pre-sales experience across data center, campus, WAN, or cloud technologies, ideally working with value-added resellers and systems integrators in enterprise markets.
• We are looking for experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer, Sales Engineer, or Networking Engineer in the WAN networking space, including hands-on ownership of POCs, field trials, and beta programs.
• You should have experience supporting sales teams on pre-sales engagements, including technical presentations, solution demos, and advisory support during the sales cycle.
• We need deep expertise in at least three of the following: Ethernet/LAN switching, IPSec, IP routing (OSPF, BGP), TCP/IP, VxLAN, EVPN, multicast, QoS, and SD-WAN.
• You should understand cloud services and how to enable routing in virtual private clouds on AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
• Automation knowledge, including REST APIs, Python scripting, and Ansible, is a strong advantage.
• We value excellent communication and active listening skills, with the ability to build trust and credibility with enterprise customers and channel partners.
• You must be able to present technical and business value propositions clearly and energetically to customers, peers, and leadership.
• Experience selling or supporting the broader Arista campus portfolio, including switches, Wi‑Fi, and security, is preferred.
• Familiarity with Arista EOS and CloudVision for unified management and zero-touch operations is preferred.
• Network industry certification is a plus.

• We partner with account teams to provide technical systems engineering support for enterprise customers and channel partners.
• We act as trusted advisors by identifying SD-WAN opportunities, gathering WAN requirements, and designing solutions that align with technical and business goals.
• We support the sales organization by driving the successful sale of VeloCloud SD-WAN and campus solutions through both channel partners and direct customer engagement.
• We deliver presentations and product demonstrations, and we join sales calls and customer conversations.
• We architect and design VeloCloud SD-WAN networks and broader Arista solutions, including cloud-delivered architecture, Dynamic Multipath Optimization, and integrated security capabilities.
• We design and position Arista SD-Branch solutions for full-stack branch networking and security deployments.
• We create integrated solutions spanning SD-WAN, campus switching, wireless, and security, while validating Zero Trust Networking and branch-level architecture.
• We lead technical responses to RFIs, RFPs, and sales proposals.
• We translate complex WAN requirements into solution designs, statements of work, bills of materials, and support plans.
• We perform proof-of-concept activities and hands-on testing to validate customer setups.
• We provide technical training to prospects, customers, and channel partners so they can effectively market and sell VeloCloud solutions.
• We manage customer escalations by coordinating with engineering and technical support to resolve issues quickly and with minimal business impact.
• We share customer and partner feedback with Engineering and Product Management to help shape revenue-generating features and upgrades.
• We represent Arista at customer events, industry conferences, and partner presentations.
