o Beds: 22
▪ Average census 21
o Minimum Years of Experience required? 1 year
o Will you accept a first-time traveler? Yes, with CT surgery experience
● Patient Types/Common Diagnoses:
o CABG, Valve replacement/repair, LVADs, Heart transplant, AAA repair, Carotids, Thoracic Outlet
● Patient Ratios:
o RN: 1:3-5, acuity dependent
o CNA: 1:11
● Required Licensure & Certifications:
o BLS, ACLS, NIHSS – Resource Team requirement
o PCCN - preferred
● Skills required:
o Cardiology experience is required – cardiac post procedural experience of the following: CABG, Valve replacement/repair, LVADs, Heart transplant, AAA repair, Carotids, Thoracic Outlet
o Cardiac Rhythm Interpretation
o Titrating and Non-titrating cardiac drips
● Support within the Department:
o CNA
o Unit Secretary
o Charge nurse – may or may not have patients
o Phlebotomy
o IV/VAT Team? No
o Rapid Response Team
o RT 24/7
o Hospitalist 24/7
o Intensivist 24/7
o Telemetry monitoring/tech – RN will interpret cardiac strips
● Technology/Equipment:
o EMR: Epic
o IV Pump: Alaris
o Med dispensing: Omnicell
o Monitors: Philips
o Unit specific equipment: Zoll, bladder scanner, USGIV (can train)
● Floating: If yes, where?
o 7 Reynolds, 7 Ardmore, Day Hospital, 5CC West
● Orientation (facility and unit) :
o NEO
o 2 days departmental
