Staff Physical Therapist - Outpatient Orthopedics

Location: Woodbridge, Virginia Employment Type: Full-Time Salary: $88,000 - $110,000 annually (based on experience)

About the Opportunity

We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join a growing outpatient orthopedic team in Woodbridge, VA. This position offers an excellent opportunity for both experienced therapists and new graduates to provide high-quality patient care in a collaborative environment focused on clinical excellence, professional development, and patient outcomes.

Therapists work closely with physicians and rehabilitation professionals to help patients recover from injuries, restore function, reduce pain, and improve overall quality of life.

Schedule

• Full-Time
• 2 days per week: 10:00 AM - 7:00 PM
• 3 days per week: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Fridays: 7:00 AM - 4:00 PM
• Two evening shifts per week required

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized treatment plans.
• Administer evidence-based physical therapy interventions to improve mobility, strength, function, and pain management.
• Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed.
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in electronic medical records.
• Ensure compliance with insurance requirements, treatment authorizations, and regulatory standards.
• Apply appropriate CPT and ICD-10 coding and billing practices.
• Collaborate effectively with physicians, healthcare providers, and support staff.
• Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants and rehabilitation support personnel as required.
• Participate in team meetings, continuing education, and professional development activities.
• Assist with clinic operations and provide coverage at nearby locations when necessary.

Qualifications

Required

• Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program.
• Active Virginia Physical Therapist License (or eligibility to obtain).
• CPR/BLS Certification.
• Proficiency with EMR systems and computer applications.
• Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Preferred

• Experience in outpatient orthopedic settings.
• Knowledge of Medicare, Workers' Compensation, and third-party payer requirements.
• Familiarity with CPT and ICD-10 coding practices.

Patient Population

• Teenagers through Geriatric patients
• Outpatient Orthopedic Rehabilitation
• 1-hour evaluations
• 30-minute follow-up appointments

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive salary: $88,000 - $110,000
• Sign-On & Retention Bonus: $2,500 at hire, additional $2,500 paid quarterly for up to 2 years
