This role will be responsible for the financial management of a portfolio of commercial real estate properties. The successful candidate will have a strong background in commercial real estate accounting, with a keen ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment. This position requires a high level of interaction with property managers, asset managers, and senior executives, so excellent communication skills are a must. Responsibilities Oversee all aspects of accounting for a portfolio of commercial properties, including the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements. Perform monthly bank reconciliations and prepare journal entries. Utilize Yardi property management software to manage accounting processes. Coordinate with property managers to ensure all income and expenses are recorded accurately. Manage project accounting and construction accounting processes, including the review of contractor pay applications and the preparation of draw requests. Prepare year-end audit packages and assist with the annual budget process. Analyze financial data and prepare reports for senior management. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and controls. Participate in special projects and perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance is required. Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial real estate accounting. Proficiency in Yardi property management software is a must. Strong knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP). Experience with project accounting and construction accounting is highly desirable. Ability to reconcile accounts and prepare journal entries accurately. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
