Postpartum Floor Nurse needed in Walnut Creek, California. This 12-hour night shift position involves providing nursing care to postpartum patients, including care for vaginal and cesarean section cases, magnesium patients, and hypertension cases. The role requires working under standards that comply with state-mandated nurse-to-patient ratios and may include floating to similar units based on operational needs.

Job Details

• Shift Time: Nights (12 hours)
• Schedule: Nights, 36 hours per week, starting on 08/11/2026
• Required Qualifications: California license current at the time of submission, 2+ years of experience, BLS, NRP certification
• Preferred Qualifications: Previous travel experience, CLS, IBCLC, EPIC experience
• Patient Population: Vaginal and cesarean section patients, magnesium sulfate patients, GHTN (gestational hypertension) cases, Bakari balloon management
• Ratios: 1:3, subject to state-mandated criteria, dependent on patient acuity and census
• Float: Float rotation may be required to similar units, typically every other weekend
• Additional Information: IVS will interview, Manager will make the offer
