Physical Therapist Assistant

Role Overview: The Physical Therapist Assistant performs patient treatment, exercise instruction, and education to enhance patient well-being, following the plan of care under supervision. Key Responsibilities Adhere to state laws and supervise PT's treatment plans, performing only qualified procedures. Instruct and assist patients with exercises, gait, ADL, transfers, safety, and prosthetic training. Monitor, record, and report patient responses and condition changes to the supervising PT and healthcare team. Educate patients, families, and caregivers within the scope of practice. Function effectively in diverse home environments, respecting all clients regardless of background. Qualifications & Skills Current license, registration, or certification to practice in the state. Valid driver's license, vehicle insurance, or access to transportation. Availability for weekend rotation. Preferred: CPR certification and ability to perform physical tasks like lifting and mobility assistance.
