They model appropriate behavior as exemplified in the HCMC Operating Mission Statement which reflects commitment to the continuous improvement process. The Home Health nurse provides care to patients in their homes under the guidance of a physician. They perform regular visits where they monitor the patients condition, assess their wounds, and change dressings as required. Home Health Nurses also write reports and communicate with the doctor after each visit.QualificationsQualifications:Minimum Education/Training Graduate of Accredited Registered Nursing Program.Licensure/Certification: Registered Nurse licensed in Tennessee.BLS: All Clinical RN's: Employee must obtain Basic Life support (BLS) Certification with 6 months of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment. Failure to maintain certification may result in corrective action.ACLS: Designated Charge RNs, Emergency Department RNs, Critical Care RNs, Women's Center RNs, Operating Room RNs, Recovery Room RNs, Ambulatory Surgery RNs Employee must obtain Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) Certification within 9 months of hire date and maintain continuous certification throughout their employment.Experience: 2 years in Home Health and/or Hospice, Med-Surgical unit; Critical Care, PACU or ER experience preferred.Physical Requirements: Sitting, standing, bending, squatting, reaching, lifting 50 lbs., walking 3 miles per shift, pushing 300 lbs. Must have full use of both upper (to include hands/fingers) and lower extremities. Must be able to see with corrective eyewear.
