About the Position

Job Title

Registered Nurse (RN) – Float Pool (ICU / PCU / MedSurg Tele)

Schedule / Job Type

Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Float across ICU, PCU, and MedSurg Tele units across two campuses, including coverage for inpatients holding in the ED
• Provide direct patient care for a diverse population including geriatric, orthopedic, post-cardiac catheterization, post-MI, and post-CABG (day 3–4) patients
• Titrate and manage drips including Heparin, Cardizem, Amiodarone, Nitroglycerin, Dopamine, Dobutamine, and Insulin
• Interpret cardiac monitor strips independently; work alongside monitor techs in PCU and MedSurg Tele settings
• Manage respiratory support equipment including BiPAP, CPAP, and Heated High Flow as applicable to unit assignment
• Adhere to unit-specific nurse-to-patient ratios: 1:4 in PCU and 1:5–6 in MedSurg Tele

Required Qualifications

• Active RN licensure in good standing
• Minimum of 1 year of experience in an ICU setting
• Current BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must successfully pass a dysrhythmia exam with a score of 80% or higher within two attempts prior to contract start
• Ability to independently interpret cardiac rhythm strips
• Comfort managing the majority of titratable drips listed above

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience caring for post-procedural cardiac patients, including groin site management following cardiac catheterization
• Prior float pool or multi-unit experience with demonstrated flexibility across care settings
• Familiarity with stepdown and progressive care unit workflows
