Activities Aide - Life Enrichment - Full-Time

A Faith-Based, Nonprofit, Short-Term Rehabilitation and Skilled Geriatric Care facility sponsored by the Carmelite Sisters for the Aged and Infirm, we've served the community since 1960. We are a place of life, a place of caring, and more importantly, a true home for our residents.

We are looking for an Activities Aide - Life Enrichment.

Full-time schedule includes every other weekend and some holidays. $15 per hour.

Activities Aide - Life Enrichment Qualifications:

• High school graduate or equivalent.
• Experience providing nursing home activities and enrichment to seniors required.
• HHA or CNA certification preferred.

Activities Aide - Life Enrichment Job Summary:

• Assist in planning, organizing and implementing the activities programs of the facility.
• Interview residents or family members to obtain activity information.
• Assist the Activity Director with preliminary and comprehensive assessments of the activity needs of each resident.
• Review assessments as necessary, but at least quarterly.
• Assist in scheduling movies, planning parties, and providing games/activities for residents.
• Encourage residents to participate in hobbies and crafts; provide materials as necessary.
• Assist in the transportation of residents to activities.
• Complete floor bulletin boards on a monthly basis.

Activities Aide - Life Enrichment Qualifications Working Conditions:

• Working conditions consist of bending, long periods of standing, sitting, and moving intermittently.
• Must assist in the evacuation of residents as needed.
• Must be able to lift equipment, supplies, etc., in excess of twenty five (25) pounds.
• May be required to work beyond normal working hours and on weekends and holidays as necessary.
