About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Marketing Officer to build and lead its marketing function during a period of rapid growth. The role will establish the brand, sharpen market positioning and messaging, and lead product marketing across both sides of a B2B marketplace. Responsibilities include creating sales enablement materials, developing account-based marketing programs, supporting RFPs, and leading conference and event presence. The CMO will balance marketing efforts between customer groups as business needs evolve, represent the organization externally, and grow the team while remaining hands-on during the initial phase. Candidates should have senior marketing leadership experience at a growth-stage company and a strong B2B marketing background, including deep expertise in product positioning, messaging, and sales enablement. Exceptional writing, brand and design judgment, and experience building account-based marketing, conference, and events programs are required. The ideal candidate is a player-coach with executive presence, comfortable presenting publicly and engaging senior stakeholders, and able to understand and market a two-sided marketplace. Experience scaling a company, along with marketplace, retail media, advertising technology, or retail technology expertise, is preferred; familiarity with LinkedIn marketing and generative AI or large language model optimization is also beneficial.
