Quality Assurance TesterGenesis10 is currently seeking a Quality Assurance Tester for a 12+ month contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Charlotte, NC. This role focuses on developing and executing comprehensive test cases within an Agile environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in automating tests for both User-Interface (UI) and database layers using tools like Selenium or Tosca, and will be proficient in writing complex SQL queries.Responsibilities:Develop detailed, comprehensive and well-structured test cases based on functional requirementsContribute to test planning and build test cases for stories in the given sprint as per story acceptance criteriaAutomate test cases in User-Interface (UI) and database using tools like Selenium/ToscaBuild and use test data required to accomplish execution of test casesExecute manual and automated tests, and record test resultsTest new and existing features, debug code (units and integration) and report errors and failuresWork collaboratively with the development team for defect triagingExecute all levels of testing (Functional, Integration, and Regression)Design, develop, and execute automation scriptsTake ownership in end-to-end testingDetect and track software defects and inconsistencies; provide timely solutionsApply quality principles throughout the Agile product lifecycle with the appropriate support and documentationRequirements:Technical BA/BS (Engineering, Computer Science, Math) and a minimum of 6 years of experience5 years of experience in Software TestingExperience of Automation testing using tools like Selenium/TOSCA for UI and databaseExpertise in testing User-Interface (UI) and Database changesExperience working on Autosys scheduling of jobsAble to write and execute Unix commandsProven experience as a Quality Assurance Tester using SQL, Database, ETL technologiesStrong experience in writing complex SQL queries using JoinsExperience with UnixAbility to document and troubleshoot errorsWorking knowledge of test management software (e.g., qTest, Octane)Familiar with the life cycle of projects (SIT, UAT)Hands-on agile experienceExcellent verbal and written skills, to include advanced interpersonal and proven presentation skillsAbility to manage competing priorities on an ongoing basisAbility to be self-directed to complete assigned activitiesDesired skills:Strong problem identification and solving skillsStrong communication skillsExcel in a fast-paced, dynamic environmentPrior experience of working with globally distributed teamsExperience in the Banking domainPay range: $ 49.37 - $57.37 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.
