Certification from the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy (NBCOT). Active Alabama state license or ability to obtain required state licensure prior to start. Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR certification from AHA or ARC. Experience working in a hospital setting preferred. Proficiency with occupational therapy tools, documentation systems, and adherence to healthcare regulations. Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with multidisciplinary teams. Candidates must be open to a temp-to-perm arrangement; willing to consider permanent placement following the assignment. Assignment Details Facility Type: Hospital. Shift Name: Days. Commute times to nearby regional towns are typically under one hour, supporting a quieter small-town lifestyle with access to outdoor and recreational destinations. Responsibilities & Duties Assist in the development and implementation of patient treatment plans under the supervision of an Occupational Therapist. Conduct therapeutic activities and instruct patients and families in use of therapeutic equipment and home programs. Monitor and report patient progress, modifying treatment plans in consultation with the supervising Occupational Therapist. Maintain accurate and timely records of patient progress and treatments consistent with facility policies and regulatory standards. Collaborate with the interdisciplinary healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. Qualifications & Skills Associate degree from an accredited Occupational Therapy Assistant program. NBCOT certification and current state licensure as required. BLS/CPR certification from AHA or ARC. Demonstrated ability to work effectively within a healthcare team and adapt to diverse patient needs. Strong organizational, documentation, and interpersonal skills. Previous hospital experience preferred but not required. Additional Information This is a 26-week temporary-to-permanent opportunity.
