Location: Greenville

State: South Carolina

Schedule: Night Shift | 48 Hours/Week | 13-Week Contract
Shift Timing: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Shift Pattern: 4x12-Hour Nights
Patient Population: Adults / Geriatrics

Job Summary:

"Navitas Healthcare, LLC" is seeking an experienced Certified Respiratory Therapist (CRT) for a fast-paced Trauma Level 1 hospital environment. The Respiratory Therapist will provide respiratory care services for adult and geriatric patients including ventilator management, airway management, oxygen therapy, aerosol medication administration, and critical care respiratory procedures.

Responsibilities:

• Provide respiratory therapy care for adult and geriatric patients

• Perform respiratory assessments and respiratory treatments

• Manage ventilated patients and assist with ventilation weaning

• Perform extubation procedures and airway management

• Administer aerosolized medications and inhaled therapies

• Operate and troubleshoot BiPAP, CPAP, and high-flow oxygen therapy equipment

• Provide tracheostomy care and trach collar oxygen therapy

• Collect sputum specimens and perform pulmonary hygiene procedures

• Assist with suctioning and respiratory emergency interventions

• Document patient care in EPIC

• Float to qualified units based on competencies

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapist / CRT experience

• Active South Carolina RRT/CRT License

• Trauma Level 1 experience

• Adult Critical Care experience

• EPIC charting experience required

• ACLS Certification

• BLS Certification

• Experience with mechanical ventilation and respiratory critical care equipment

Required Skills:

• Extubation and airway management

• Nasal and oral airway placement

• Oral and tracheal suctioning

• Pulmonary hygiene and sputum specimen collection

• Tracheostomy care and trach collar therapy

• High-flow nasal cannula oxygen therapy

• BiPAP and CPAP management

• Ventilator troubleshooting

• Mechanical ventilation weaning

Medication Experience Required:
Albuterol, Atrovent, Combivent, Flovent, Inhaled steroids, Isuprel, Lidocaine, Perforomist, Pulmicort, Racemic epinephrine, Spiriva, Terbutaline sulfate, Tobramycin, Xopenex

Equipment Experience Required:
Aerosol setup mask, Aerosol trach setup, Medihaler, Metered-dose inhaler (MDI), Hand-held nebulizers, T-piece nebulizers, Trach collar nebulizers
