Director, CVRM Communications

AstraZeneca seeks a Director of Communications for its Cardiovascular, Renal and Metabolism division, focusing on obesity and weight management programs. The role involves developing and executing global communications strategies across clinical development and commercialization phases, working with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Develop and deliver global communications plans from Phase I through launch with strategic milestones and competitive considerations
Build disease and asset narratives; produce press releases, Q&As, and materials; prepare and train spokespeople
Collaborate with global and regional media teams; support investor communications and engage external experts
Lead internal engagement initiatives for obesity/weight programs and drive digital/social channel deployment
Manage issues preparedness, crisis management, and coordinate patient advocacy programs

Requirements

Bachelor's degree
At least 8 years of pharmaceutical product communications experience
Significant in-house or agency biopharma communications background with media relations expertise
Deep product/pipeline communications knowledge and ability to translate science for varied audiences
Expert product communications writing and digital communications proficiency
Proven ability to influence cross-functional, global senior teams and build trusted relationships

Compensation: $146,716.80 - $220,075.20 base
