Functions as a cardiac stepdown unit with a significant cardiac patient population. Option of 36 or 48 hours. Two years preferred (will consider one year). First time travelers: accepted. Local traveler: ratios 1:4. Weekend requirement: as needed, rotating. Float requirement: yes. On call requirement: none. Block scheduling: case by case. RTO parameters: certification requirements: BLS, ACLS, NIH, CPI preferred. Fifty-five beds on unit, cardiovascular experience required. Scrub color: any (no logo).

Shift details: 7:00 PM - 7:30 AM, shifts per week: 3, scheduled hours: 36. Start date: 08/31/2026, end date: 11/30/2026, duration: 13 weeks.

Skills: BiPAP/CPAP management, blood product administration, cardiac telemetry, central line care/management, chest tubes-Emerson/PleurEvac, CVA, feeding tube care and management, heparin protocols, high flow nasal cannula (HFNC), interpretation of dysrhythmias, isolation precautions/PPE, IV insulin protocols, manage cardiac drips-no titration, management of dysrhythmias, nasal cannula, non-invasive airway management, oxygen administration, PCA, PCU/DOU/IMC/Stepdown, peripheral line care/management, phlebotomy, PICC line management, post cardiac angiogram, post MI, pre/post cardiac cath, pre/post cardiac surgery, procedural sedation administration/monitoring, sheath removal, starting and maintaining IVs, telemetry, telemetry - on the unit monitoring, telemetry - remote monitoring, titrate cardiac drips, wound care/wound vac.

Floating: unless specifically stated otherwise, travelers will be expected to float to like units within their scope, as needed based on facility needs. Travelers will receive brief orientation on the unit. Once contract is signed, traveler is expected to go in for labs within 48 business hours (please notify at time of submittal if you/traveler foresee any reasons for compliance delays). Modules: modules are non-billable, all hours are factored in NBO RN average 4-6 hours, allied 2-3 hours. Modules are completed onsite during orientation. Modules are recorded via transcripts.
