Registered Nurse - Cardio Thoracic Specialization

This is a 13-week contract position.

12 Hour Night Shifts

The facility is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse specializing in Cardio Thoracic care to join their team. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in managing patients with heart failure, arrhythmias, and various cardiac surgical procedures. This role requires proficiency in EPIC charting and the ability to float to the ICU as needed.

Provide nursing care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures, including CABG, valve replacements, and VAD management with HeartMate 3.

Administer medications and monitor patients for reactions, particularly with transplant medications for heart, lung, liver, and kidney transplants.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans.

Manage and educate patients on ongoing heart failure and arrhythmia care.

Ensure compliance with ACLS and BLS standards.

Valid NY RN licensure.

ACLS and BLS certifications required.

Experience with cardiac surgical procedures, including CABG, valve replacement, and transplant care.

Proficient in Epic charting system.

Minimum of 3 years of relevant nursing experience in a cardiac care environment.
