Crane operator

Position Summary We are currently seeking a skilled Crane Operator to join our team in Akron. As a Crane Operator you will be responsible for operating various types of cranes to lift, move and position heavy materials and equipment on construction sites. This is a contract job with the potential for long‑term employment based on performance. Key Responsibilities Operate cranes according to job site safety guidelines and manufacturer instructions. Perform daily equipment inspections and report any defects or malfunctions. Communicate with ground crew using hand signals or two‑way radio. Lift, move and position heavy materials using various types of cranes such as tower cranes, mobile cranes and overhead cranes. Ensure proper rigging techniques are used for each lift. Maintain accurate records of daily operations and complete necessary paperwork. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years experience operating cranes in construction or industrial settings. Valid crane operator certification from an accredited program. Knowledge of safe crane operation practices and rigging techniques. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and lift plans.
