Fabrication Technician

Job Summary This role supports advanced manufacturing operations by performing high‑level soldering, fabrication, and assembly of bus system components. The position requires strong technical expertise, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret complex drawings while working in a hands‑on production environment. Responsibilities Perform high‑level brazing and silver soldering on copper tubing and heavy‑wall piping systems Execute soft soldering using both traditional and lead‑free materials depending on specifications Carry out pressure and vacuum testing to confirm system integrity and performance standards Interpret and follow detailed engineering drawings, including symbols, measurements, and tolerances Measure, cut, and prep materials using various shop tools including saws and miter equipment Safely operate lifting equipment such as forklifts, overhead cranes, and jib cranes to move materials Work with torch systems and industrial gases including oxygen, acetylene, and propane Ensure all fabrication meets strict dimensional tolerances and quality expectations Assemble components into finished systems following fabrication and prep work Read and apply process flow diagrams and water system schematics during assembly Complete work independently while also collaborating with team members when needed Maintain a clean and safe work environment in line with company safety standard Requirements Required to work onsite Monday through Friday, 7 am to 3:30 pm Minimum of 5 years of experience with soldering, brazing, and pipe/tube fabrication Strong ability to understand and work from technical drawings and blueprints Experience using fabrication tools, cutting equipment, and material handling systems Familiar with pressure testing and vacuum testing methods Understanding of fluid or water system schematics preferred Able to work both independently and within a team‑based production environment Physically capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and remaining active throughout the shift Comfortable working in a hands‑on industrial setting Preferred Qualifications Experience with precision cutting tools such as saws and miter equipment Background in manufacturing, fabrication, or mechanical assembly environments #J-18808-Ljbffr Synerfac Technical Staffing
