School Nurse Opportunity

This position requires an LPN or RN with strong clinical skills and a genuine passion for pediatric care. Experience with insulin pump management, blood glucose monitoring, and diabetes protocols is essential for success in this role.

Key Qualifications & Skills:

• Current and valid LPN or RN license
• Demonstrated experience in school nursing, pediatric healthcare, or 1:1 care
• Proficiency with insulin pump operation and blood glucose reading
• Knowledge of diabetes management protocols
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Adaptability and compassion in working with young children

Daily Responsibilities:

• Deliver attentive 1:1 nursing care to a preschool-aged student with diabetes
• Monitor blood glucose levels and manage insulin pump therapy
• Administer medications per physician orders and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with the classroom teacher and aide to support the student's daily routine
• Foster a safe, inclusive, and nurturing school environment
• Communicate effectively with staff and family regarding the student's health needs
