Sonic Healthcare USA (SHUSA) is looking for a dynamic and detail-oriented Compliance Specialist to join our corporate team in Dallas, Texas!In this role, you will be at the heart of our compliance operations, supporting the day-to-day functions of our laboratory system's regulatory compliance and HIPAA program. You'll play a critical role in ensuring we uphold the highest standards of integrity and compliance in accordance with DHHS, CMS, and the Office of Inspector General's Compliance Program Guidance for Clinical Laboratories.ResponsibilitiesReview and analyze various compliance processes and facilitate the routing and filing of compliance related business requests, forms, and contract documentsEstablish and manage systems designed to identify and mitigate risks.Simplify complex laws and regulatory requirements into clear guidance and processes.Function as the Administrator for Compliance software system(s)Manage, maintain and update corporate compliance minutes and recordsParticipate in special projectsSchedule/track sanction check database for corporate entityPrepare and timely send CMS or other regulatory filings,Assist with, and prepare Compliance reports, presentations, etc.Manage compliance calendars and eventsPush, track and report on training assignments as requiredCompiles quarterly data for Compliance Committee meetingsIdentifies opportunities and supports efforts to build a culture of complianceStrong ability to communicate effectively with company management of all organizational levels and functional counterpartsEducational Requirements/CertificationsBachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience desired.QualificationsCertified paralegal with 2+ years experience preferred3-5 years legal, regulatory or compliance healthcare administrative experience desirableHIPAA/Health Care experience preferredAbility to work independently as well as interact with team members, leaders, executivesSkills/CompetenciesStrong initiative and capacity to learn with demonstrated attention to detail and judgmentExceptional ethical foundationEffective written and verbal communicatorProactive problem solver, with ability to prioritize while ensuring that the work gets doneWillingness and ability to adapt and change as position/corporate needs evolveBuild a reputation for self and department as responsive and supportive team memberExcellent data entry and proofreading skillsAbility to work independently, but not afraid to ask questionsDemonstrated discretion in handling confidential informationDemonstrated flexibility in light of changing work requirementsExcellent organization skills; file management experienceScheduled Weekly Hours: 40Work Shift: Full timeJob Category: AdministrationCompany: Sonic Healthcare USA, IncSonic Healthcare USA is an equal opportunity employer that celebrates diversity and is committed to an inclusive workplace for all employees.
