Sr. Accountant/Analyst

We are looking for a Sr. Accountant/Analyst to join a team in Virginia on a long-term contract assignment. This position is ideal for someone who is detail oriented and can bridge accounting knowledge with business analysis to improve operational processes, evaluate costs, and support business system enhancements. The role will work closely with stakeholders to assess needs, translate findings into clear documentation, and contribute to solution delivery.Responsibilities:• Support cost accounting activities by examining data, validating assumptions, and helping align reporting with business objectives.• Analyze business and financial workflows to identify improvement opportunities and support informed decision-making.• Review documentation, gather stakeholder input, and translate business needs into clear functional requirements.• Perform gap analysis to compare current processes with desired future-state operations and recommend practical solutions.• Collaborate with cross-functional teams during implementation efforts to ensure business requirements are properly understood and executed.• Prepare organized financial reports, process documents, and analytical summaries for project teams and business leaders.
