How you’ll make an impact in this role Join an established team of 8 OB/GYN Physicians. Call schedule is 24 hours in-house at St. Joseph Hospital, 1:8 days with a post-call day off. Practice covers St. Joseph Hospital, which includes an OBGYN Resident Program. Consults available from 4 Board Certified Maternal Fetal Medicine Physicians for High-Risk Mothers and Babies, along with Gyn/Onc, Uro/Gyn, and Breast Surgeon consults. Ultrasounds are performed by Sonographers at the clinic location. A da Vinci Xi Robot is available. The office includes 10 exam rooms, 1 procedure room, 1 ultrasound room, and 2 rooms for non-stress testing. Evaluate and treat patients with appropriate medical diagnostic and treatment skills. Coordinate discharge planning with case management. Recommend, participate in, and work to ensure the success of efforts to improve cost effectiveness and quality of care provided to patients. Accept patient referrals from other physicians. Act as admitting, attending and/or consulting physician for patients who require hospitalization for primary medical diagnoses, depending on needs of patients, medical staff and hospital. Participate in academic programs (e.g., medical education and research) as requested. Provide appropriate documentation that meets insurance company requirements; appeal all denials in a timely manner. Participate in inpatient and outpatient consultation for specialty, which may include on call schedules. About Ascension St. Joseph Hospital 24/7 in-house coverage for OB/GYN, OBHG, and Anesthesia. Family-centered maternity and neonatal care. Includes a 16 Bed Labor & Delivery unit (with 11 Labor rooms and 5 High Risk women's care rooms), 5 OB ED Triage Rooms, 3 Operating Rooms, and 2 Recovery Rooms. Family Birth Center with 23 Beds. On-site social workers and Lactation specialists. Level III Nursery and a NICU-Level III with 54 Beds, staffed by Board Certified Neonatologists available 24/7. Advanced Life Support preferred. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Education: Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) required.
