Location 2621 Maplewood Dr,Sulphur, LA, 70663,United States Job Category Loan Officer Employee Type Full Time Exempt Officer Position Summary: Responsible to extend credit and related services (deposits and cash management) to new and existing customers while building strong customer relationships and achieving sales goals. Responsible for attaining established Bank loan and deposit goals through active participation in officer call programs and sales management. Individual must be a customer-oriented and relationship driven individual with excellent verbal and written communication skills. This individual will be responsible for aggressively soliciting and servicing prospective customers producing a variety of commercial loans and consumer loans as well as generating and managing a portfolio of business and corresponding relationships, while seeking new accounts through calling efforts, marketing, and referrals. Typical Duties: Originates commercial loans and consumer loans. Helps customers by answering questions; responding to requests. Maintains customer confidence by keeping account information confidential. Updates job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations. Business development of market area through proactive sales calls and networking to meet or exceed banks goals such as growth of deposits and loans. Involved in the local market/community through civic organizations or community groups. Ensure that personnel are trained and motivated to attain high quality customer service standards and profit goals through proactive sales. Maintain a high level of product knowledge. Underwrites credit with strong underwriting skills and understanding of the bank’s credit culture. Preforms other duties and projects as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) Bachelor of Science Degree in Business or Finance preferred One year of experience, loan production in commercial, consumer and real estate lending, loan portfolio administration and product sales preferred Relationship management skills for key commercial, small business and personal relationships Highly developed analytical and underwriting expertise, credit quality focus Strong Community leadership experience Portfolio (loans) size up to $25M with annual goals that will eventually lead to $20M or more in outstanding Sales Energy, with sustained record Ability to work with mathematical concepts (fractions, percentages, ratios) Knowledge of computer and software application Must have a professional appearance and manner Effectively communicates using verbal, non-verbal, and written skills To enroll in FNBD consumer and/or commercial lending training program Certifications Required: Requires successful registration with, and issuance of unique identification numbers from the Nationwide Mortgage Licensing Systems (NMLS) in compliance with the Secure and Fair Enforcement for Mortgage Licensing Act of 2008 ( S.A.F.E. Act) Physical Requirements: Employees must have the ability to perform the following physical demands for extended periods of time with or without assistance: Maneuvering to and around equipment Bending, stooping, and reaching Monitoring computer screens May include viewing computer/CCTV monitor(s) and detailed work requiring close vision Moving or lifting boxes up to 25 pounds Answering/making phone calls Communicating with others Work Environment: Outside sales calls will be a must in addition to customer meetings at branch locations.
