Job PostingPay Rate: $16.00 per hourSummary: To provide support during promotions and entertainment functions. Responsible for a high level of guest service as described in your departments guest service standards.Essential Duties And ResponsibilitiesAssist at on and off property eventsSet up and tear down promotional events and drawingsGreet and guide guests and provide event, promotion, entertainment and amenity informationExplain promotions, register guests for drawings and hand out promotional itemsEnsure event rules and regulations are followedKnowledge And Certification, Skills And AbilitiesKnowledge and CertificationRequired: 1-year hospitality or guest servicePreferred: High School Diploma/GED or equivalent experienceSkillsRequired: Accurate and detail-orientedHighly organized and an ability to adapt quickly to changing prioritiesExcellent verbal and interpersonal communication skillsAbilitiesRequired: Ability to work fast and efficientlyAbility to interact with guests, coworkers and management in an upbeat, professional and courteous mannerAbility to speak in a clear, concise and pleasant voiceAbility to follow established dress code policies and practice good personal hygieneAbility to enthusiastically and professionally sell and / or up-sell Treasure Island and its amenitiesRequired TrainingTreasure Island guest service trainingTIPS training and certificationAny position-related training as determined by department managerPhysical DemandsMust be able to walk and / or stand for long periods of up to 8 hoursMust have a good sense of balance, and be able to bend, kneel, reach and twist routinelyMust be able to push, pull and grasp objects routinelyMust have the ability to independently lift 25+ pounds occasionallyMust be able to perform repetitive hand and wrist motionsMust have good eye hand coordinationWorking EnvironmentWork is performed on the gaming floor, which includes flashing lights, frequent loud noises and cigarette smokeMust be able to work in cramped, tight quartersMust be willing to work a flexible schedule including all shifts, weekends and holidaysOccasionally overtime may be requiredOccasionally must deal with angry or hostile individualsHigh volume direct public contactEqual Opportunity Employer This employer is required to notify all applicants of their rights pursuant to federal employment laws.
