Volt is immediately hiring for  Material Handler  in  Cheektowaga NY.

As a Material Handler,  you will:

• Fill prescription vials with tablets and capsules according to established procedures.

• Retrieve and process inventory items, including bulk and unit-of-use medications.

• Read computer-generated work orders and locate products using inventory management systems.

• Verify medication strength, quantity, and product information before processing.

• Replenish automated dispensing equipment and inventory storage locations.

• Use handheld barcode scanners to track and replenish products.

• Count and calculate product quantities with accuracy using basic math skills.

• Package and prepare prescription orders for shipment, including paperwork and shipping labels.

• Maintain strict quality standards to ensure 100% order accuracy.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and escalate workflow or inventory issues as needed.

• Keep the pharmacy and warehouse workspace clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.

• Follow all HIPAA regulations, patient privacy requirements, and pharmacy operating procedures.

• Support housekeeping and additional operational duties as assigned.

• Promote a positive team environment while adhering to company values and standards.

This is a  full-time opportunity.

The ideal candidate will have:

• High School Diploma, GED, or equivalent experience
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic math, reading, and writing skills.
• Basic computer skills and ability to navigate digital systems.
• Ability to use handheld scanners and read computer screens.
• Ability to bend, reach, twist, grasp, lift, and perform physical warehouse duties throughout the shift.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.

• Previous warehouse, distribution, fulfillment, inventory, or material handling experience.
• Pharmacy, healthcare, manufacturing, or production experience.
• Knowledge of pharmacy operations and medication handling procedures.
• Pharmacy Technician education or certification (not required in New York State).
• Experience with barcode scanners, inventory systems, or order processing technology.

• Sunday & Friday : 2:00 PM - 10:30 PM and  Monday & Wednesday : 6:00 PM - 10:30 PM

•   Mandatory overtime may be required based on business needs.

Pay Rate: $17.00 - $17.50 per hour

*Pay range offered to a successful candidate will be based on several factors, including the candidate's education, work experience, work location, specific job duties, certifications, etc.
