Certified Addictions Counselor

The Horsham Clinic is seeking a dynamic and talented Certified Addictions Counselor. The Horsham Clinic is a 206-bed, private behavioral healthcare facility located on a beautiful 55-acre suburban campus in Montgomery County. We are minutes from Philadelphia and serve patients and families from Southeastern Pennsylvania and New Jersey. The Horsham Clinic provides comprehensive behavioral health services to children, adolescents, adults, and their families. In addition to our main campus in Ambler, we have two satellite partial hospitalization programs in Chester County and Delaware County.

The Addictions Counselor is an active member of the treatment team. The Addictions Counselor is responsible to assess the patients' drug and alcohol usage history and develop individualized interventions to assist patients in meeting their treatment goals. The Addiction Therapist provides a variety of educational and therapeutic interventions including but not limited to patient education, individual group sessions consistent with the philosophy and objectives of the Horsham Clinic.

To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to demonstrate competency in the criteria listed in this job description. Staff must demonstrate flexibility for reassignment to units providing care to varied populations including children, adolescents, adults, older adults, and dually diagnosed patients in an inpatient and partial hospital setting.
