FULL-TIME RETAIL CUSTOMER SERVICE REPRESENTATIVE

Thief River Falls Store Garden Valley Technologies is accepting resumes for a full-time Retail Customer Service Representative position reporting to the Thief River Falls Store. The applicant hired will generally be scheduled 40 hours per week, 8:00am-4:30pm Monday through Friday, depending on the Company’s requirements. Applicants must be willing and able to work extended hours when workload requires and may also be assigned to work in other areas or other retail locations when required by the Company. The ideal candidate is someone with a positive attitude, a love of technology, and a strong desire to serve others. Essential Job Functions: Deliver an excellent customer service experience to every customer, at the retail store or over the phone, at all times. Answer questions or concerns and educate customers on all GVT products and services. Promote, sell, and upsell Garden Valley services to new and existing customers, including sales and service of GV cellular, and with an emphasis on security products and video services. Assist customers with new service requests, service changes, billing questions and concerns, and handle all equipment returns. Perform troubleshooting steps for applicable products and services, use trouble ticket functions, and dispatch issues to appropriate personnel when necessary. Process payments, post payments to the appropriate accounts, and issue receipts Accurately complete applicable paperwork and computer functions relating to service requests, changes, billing inquiries, and troubles. Prioritize and perform courtesy calls to subscribers, other work assignments, and special projects. Maintain a cash drawer, make daily deposits, and run various related reports. Assist with store inventory stocking and display, order tracking, and other related tasks, as assigned. Use a multi-line telephone system, computer, and other technology necessary in performing all job functions. Work at a minimum of one Company-sponsored event each year (customer appreciation days, special events, and fairs). Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Preference may be given to applicant: With strong knowledge of billing and service software applications, including Excel, Word, and Outlook. With strong knowledge of Garden Valley’s products and services, including the ability to demonstrate their features and functions. With strong customer service and sales skills, leadership qualities, and a desire to learn. Who demonstrates attention to detail and confidentiality. With prior sales and customer service experience. Must have: Proficient customer service skills, in-person and over the phone, and effective communication and interpersonal skills to interact with co-workers, members, customers, business contacts, and the public in a professional, helpful, and cheerful manner. The ability to work independently, and as a team player, making sound decisions using the information at hand. The ability to pay close attention to detail and maintain confidentiality. Strong organizational and time management skills, along with neat and orderly work habits. Mathematical and analytical skills and knowledge. Proficiency in operating computers, iPads, smartphones, various software packages, and other technology. The ability, willingness, and flexibility (without advance notice) to work any hours and shifts required by the Company. The ability and willingness to freely share job knowledge with other employees. The ability and willingness to adjust to changes in primary duties, as required by the Company.
