Licensed Practice Nurse- (LPN)- Anesthesia

Schedule - Monday-Friday 9a-530pm, no weekends or holidays

This role will assist Anesthesia, Help with blocks, spinals, learn the equipment and supplies. Will also help turnover and set up room for anesthesia between cases

A Brief Overview

Provides safe efficient age specific nursing care to patients/families using the nursing process in order to assist them to attain, maintain, regain, and sustain optimal health status.

• Must abide by all requirements to safely and securely maintain Protected Health Information (PHI) for our patients. Annual training, the UH Code of Conduct and UH policies and procedures are in place to address appropriate use of PHI in the workplace.

• Other Accredited Program: Completion of accredited practical nurse program or currently enrolled in a nursing program. (Required)

• 2+ years Nursing Experience (Level II only) (Required)

• Knowledge of LPN scope of practice according to the Ohio board of nursing. (Required proficiency)
• Uses a wide variety of technical equipment to meet patient needs and prescribed clinical therapies (ie. stethoscopes, thermometers, sphygmomanometers and electronic monitoring devices) (Required proficiency)
• Level II Only: 18 CNE's per year. 3 CNEs in clinical specialty At least 5 CNEs in Leadership Other CNE requirements will be agreed upon with manager
• Level II Only: 3 Peer Reviews. Committee Involvement. 5 criteria with evidence of each.
