Business Analysis Manager (JD Edwards Platform Manager)

BASIC FUNCTIONThe JD Edwards (E1) Platform Manager is responsible for supporting and enabling the successful delivery of all CLC projects and enhancements involving JD Edwards and associated applications (e.g., Doc Central). This role ensures that business initiatives are clearly defined, requirements are understood and documented, and work is translated into actionable and prioritized work items for development teams.The Platform Manager serves as the primary business point of contact for project-related activities within the JD Edwards platform, partnering with business stakeholders, project teams, and technology resources to ensure solutions align with business objectives and platform capabilities.The Platform Manager will work closely with the JD Edwards (E1) Platform Owner to develop a strong understanding of the application, business processes, project governance, and prioritization practices. Over time, the Platform Manager will become more self-sufficient, leading project-related analysis, requirements refinement, backlog management, and business decision-making while keeping the Platform Owner informed of key initiatives, risks, dependencies, and delivery outcomes.This role requires an understanding of key JD Edwards functional areas, including Order Entry, Product Catalog, Invoicing, Cash Application, and related business processes. The Platform Manager will leverage this knowledge to evaluate project requests, clarify requirements, manage project backlogs, support solution discussions, and make informed business decisions throughout the project lifecycle.The Platform Manager is accountable for maintaining the backlog in accordance with business priorities, ensuring readiness of work items for development, facilitating stakeholder alignment, and supporting the successful delivery of platform changes that provide measurable business value.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESProvide oversight and business leadership for all project-related activities involving JD Edwards (E1) and associated applications.Represent the JD Edwards platform during Project Exploration, ensuring opportunities are aligned with business objectives and platform capabilities.Own and manage the backlog for JDE related projects.Ensure project priorities, timelines, dependencies, and expected business outcomes remain aligned throughout delivery.Ensure alignment with the goals and objectives of each project, ensuring there aren’t aspects that may be in conflict.Establish and maintain backlog priorities based on business value, organizational priorities, resource capacity, risk, and delivery timelines.Coordinate with business stakeholders, subject matter experts, engineering teams, and quality assurance resources to ensure backlog items are clearly defined, actionable, and ready for development.Lead release planning and prioritization decisions for project-related releases and interim ("dot") releases as required.Serve as the primary source of business guidance for JD Edwards project teams, providing requirements clarification and business direction throughout the project lifecycle. Ensure development teams have sufficient business context to deliver solutions that meet project objectives and business expectations.Facilitate business decision-making when competing priorities, scope questions, or requirement ambiguities arise.Work closely with the Production Support team to coordinate release planning and ensure project-related enhancements are appropriately integrated into scheduled JD Edwards releases.Monitor project progress against target implementation dates and proactively address risks, dependencies, and barriers to successful delivery.Support user acceptance testing, business readiness, and implementation planning activities as needed to enable successful project outcomes.Analyze post-release feedback, usage patterns, defect trends, and business needs into prioritized backlog items to be handed off to the production support team.Partner with business sponsors and stakeholders to ensure post-release product decisions remain aligned to business value, user needs, and roadmap and strategic priorities.Establish and continuously improve repeatable processes for project intake, triage, prioritization, release planning, project health reviews, and transition to steady-state support.JOB QUALIFICATIONSEducationBachelor’s Degree or equivalent experiencePreferred:Business, Technology, or related fieldExperience7+ years in Business Analysis, Application Business Owner, or related rolesExperience working with or managing users of the JD Edwards Enterprise One.Experience coordinating across business, technology, QA, and operational stakeholdersKey SkillsAnalytical thinking and problem solving.Excellent communication skills.Ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives while balancing competing priorities and deadlines.Strong backlog management and prioritization, decision-making capability, and release planning skills.Ability to influence stakeholders, build consensus and drive alignment across business and technical teams without direct authority.Collaboration across business and technical teams.Strong judgment in balancing user feedback, business value, and technical feasibility.Our Interview PracticesTo maintain a fair and genuine hiring process, we kindly ask that all candidates participate in interviews without the assistance of AI tools or external prompts.
